Create Tracks and Assign Inputs Sequentially

Imagine this: you connect your laptop to a 32-input console. Then you click one icon—bam! Instantly, 32 tracks are created, each automatically assigned to a different input. You're ready to start recording your live show right away.

Auto-Scroll

Keeps playhead centered during playback or recording.

Keyboard Lock

Disables keyboard input (e.g., spacebar) while recording. Perfect for situations where your laptop is placed near the console and you want to prevent accidental key presses.

Top Toolbar

View

Mixer - F3

Opens Mixer!

Track Manager - F1

You can assign specific colors to tracks, toggle their visibility in the track or mixer view, organize them into groups, and hide any tracks you don't need to see.

Region Manager - F4

You can apply colors to regions or markers and control their visibility by toggling them on or off.

Routing Matrix

Matrix grid to see easily what inputs are assigned to tracks

Performance Meter - F12

Check latency and what plugin is cpu hog

Project bay

View detailed information about clips, including the number of plugin instances and their automations.

Layouts

You can save your custom layout here and recall it later, even using a hotkey.

Grouping Matrix

Link parameters (e.g., volume) across multiple tracks at once, such as overhead L and R.

Video

Shows Video player!

Item Properties - F2

View clip details, but mostly useful for changing stretch algorithm (drums require a different stretching algorithm than synths).

Automations

Toggle read - alt / opt + r

Change to Read - all automation envelopes.

Toggle touch - alt / opt + w

Press button, then play, and then when you move any plugin param it will record movement.

Show / Hide automation - a

Show or hide all automation envelopes at once. (like in Ableton)

Waveform Operations

Normalize items

Got all your tracks and want to set them to a similar level before mixing? Just click here.

LUFS-I: Streaming loudness

RMS-I: Traditional average level

Peak: Clip warning indicator

True Peak: Prevents distortion

LUFS-M max: Loudest moments

LUFS-S max: Short-term dynamics

Dynamic split

When recording vocals or instruments with a microphone, you can remove silent or inactive parts to prevent noise buildup.

Phase Align

When recording a drum kit or a band using multiple microphones, sound travels at different speeds to each mic. This timing difference can cause a loss of low end and create comb filtering. To prevent this, phase-align your multitrack recordings.

Tracks operations

Move track to a new folder - ctrl / cmd + g

Select few tracks, click, then all is routed to parent folder. (like in Ableton)

Track color random

Select few tracks, click, and you got random color!

Insert separator

Separate tracks, for ex.

Lock Track Controls

For example: you muted the track, then locked it, and when you try to unmute, the track stays muted.

Freeze

Freezing tracks converts them to audio files, reducing CPU usage. This is especially helpful for CPU-intensive plugins like iZotope Ozone.

Freeze Mono

Freeze Stereo

Unfreeze

Waveform views

Spectrogram

Change waveforms to Spectrogram view.

Spectral Peaks

Colors peaks by frequency of sound (lower - blue, higher - red), just like on serato.

Rectify Peaks

This is helpful when you have many tracks minimized to their smallest height. The peaks appear at the bottom instead of being centered. (Commonly used in video editors like Premiere Pro.)

Scale peaks 6db

Peaks are more compressed, which makes editing high-dynamic range content easier.

Peaks settings

Here you can tweak all settings above, like intensity of color, gate threshold, lufs graphs.

Organizational

Monitoring (not rendered) chain

Want to use room calibration, like Sonarworks, but worried you'll forget to bypass it before rendering? This shortcut is the perfect solution.

Show / hide all floating windows

Too much clutter? Show / hide all floating windows

Renumber all markers

Renumber markers so that the lowest number appears at the start and the highest at the end.

Cleanup Project Directory

Displays all unused files from the folder next to the project that can be safely deleted.

Save New Version of the File

Saves a new version of the project with an incremented number - for example, project_name_1.rpp becomes project_name_2.rpp.
